"Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke has now earned the longest run on the Billboard Hot 100 so far this year. The single, featuring Pharrell and T.I., is leading the chart again this week - its seventh week in a row.
"Blurred Lines" beat out Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Thrift Shop" for the longest 2013 command. The last time any artist had so many consecutive weeks at the top of the chart was last September, when Maroon 5's "One More Night" reigned for nine weeks.
Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop" is gaining an edge on Thicke, jumping up from number three to number two this week. If she were to manage a "Blurred Lines" takeover, it would mark the first Hot 100 number one of her career. Bruno Mars' latest single "Treasure" is also on the rise, coming in at number five.
